Our videos turned out absolutely fantastic

Marketing videos a very good strategic business move.

Recently we went to Thailand to visit Rachel and Shane Krider, very good friends for the last 10 years and owners of  a personal development business now worth over $170 mil.

We are proudly part of this business and we stayed with them in their resort style home on the beach.

videos are great

Absolutely beautiful… stunning. Enormous gratitude for their hospitality, generosity and friendship.

We were invited to stay for about 5 days and while we were there we had the chance to do our new marketing videos. What great fun that was. We had a professional film crew headed by Phil with Charlie and Joe. The company called Helicam used drones and a multitude of cameras and gadgets to take a million photos, videos and audios.

The end result is a very professional brilliant marketing tool. But also captured the simplicity and fun part of this business.

Take a look…

Video 1 an introduction to our business

Video 2 Our positioning piece. Shown after someone has decided to go forward.

Video 3 Our thankyou video . After someone has put their information into our website inquiring from an ad.

We were pampered and chauffeured and wined and dined and filmed and … did I say pampered… all in the name of getting the right shots… of course. What an experience. One which will stay with Chrissy and myself for a very long time.

For the last 9 years or more, the time which we have been involved with Prosperity of Life, we have been to a dozen different countries, been to dozens of seminars and conferences on wealth creation and advanced personal development, attended gala balls, theme parties in million dollar mansions, driven exotic cars and generally had a ball with an expanding group of like minded driven people who focus on success, and not being around people who are constantly whinging and whining about why they haven’t.

videos of cars videos

The circle of people we associate with now are the people going places. This has a direct effect on our future results. Your circle of influence does 100% effect you and your results. So we decided that the “oh poor me” type of person was NOT the type we need to be around. And also they are much more fun to be around. Nobody complains. Nobody whinges and nobody has any excuse as to why they cannot achieve anything. Nothing is impossible.

videos

We are the creators of our own existence and experiences, and are fully responsible for our own results.

WE LOVE THAT!… Chrissy and Col

We’re off to Thailand. Leadership has its perks.

Being part of leadership within Prosperity of Life, we are positioned very well to be offered things that would not ordinarily be offered.

We are going to Thailand in 3 weeks to get some promotional videos done by the marketing team. The videos will be shot in and around Shane and Rachels new luxury mansion in Thailand.

Taken from their drone off the beach from the property

Greg who leads the team has around 30 years experience in marketing and is instrumental in the making of our award winning short films. He has done many multi million dollar ads for the superbowl in the states and countless others in his long and successful career.

We  are thrilled to have this opportunity.

This experience is second to none as far as marketing goes. I am positive it will give our already great results a real boost.

Yahoo is all I can say. Absolutely Brilliant

leadership
Chrissy and Col Greig

And another thing… Our secret to our success is being focused, being positive at all times (very difficult sometimes) and just not giving in to the nay sayers. Those people will always try to drag you down to their level. This was not an option for us.

Our leadership dream became reality because of our resilience.

We are so determined to continue with our success and that’s not just the financial success, but the emotional and personal development success, nobody but nobody will get in our way.

We are driving the bus.

Either get on and enjoy the ride or get out of the way. This how all successful people feel. They never let ‘average’ or ‘normal’ dictate the terms.

The individual is very intelligent but the masses are dumb.

Do yourself a favour and be an individual.

You’ll be better of for it.

BIG PLUS… TURN OFF THE NEWS. You Don’t need it.

5 Reasons why you aren’t Rich (yet)

I share these very wise words from the Kiyosaki’s because I have the utmost respect .
Thank you Kim and Robert. Absolutely Brilliant.
Chrissy and Colin Greig, Home Business Entrepreneurs.

5 Reasons You Aren’t Rich (Yet)

The road to financial freedom is not easy. As soon as you set off on this path, you run into roadblock after roadblock. Many people become disheartened and give up right away. Others plug along for a while, but without results, they soon give up. Only a tenacious few can push forward and become truly rich.

I often meet people who have been following the path for a while and don’t understand why they aren’t any closer to financial freedom. They’ve read the books, taken courses, and can read and interpret the financial column of the newspaper with ease.

Many of them approach me asking, “I’m financially literate, but I still can’t seem to increase my income. What am I doing wrong?”

My answer to them is: “It might not be something you’re doing, but something you’re feeling that’s holding you back.”

Our emotions and behaviors dictate our future more than we care to admit. And sometimes, it’s the things we’re feeling or the attitudes we’re carrying around that are keeping us from moving forward.

Five things holding you back

There are five main reasons why financially literate people may still not develop abundant asset columns that could produce a large cash flow.

They are:

1. Fear

2. Cynicism

3. Laziness

4. Bad habits

5. Arrogance

Most people struggle with many of these factors, whether consciously or unconsciously. Conquering them is not easy, but it is necessary to achieving true wealth.

1) Fear

This is by far the most prevalent reason most people are not wealthy. If you weren’t afraid of anything, what would you do right now that could make you rich? Quit your job? Start your own company? Invest your savings in assets?

So many people spend their time reading and studying and increasing their financial literacy, but when it comes to acting on their knowledge, they balk. They’re afraid.

Fear is understandable. Taking risks, making changes, it’s all scary. It’s alright to feel afraid. What’s not alright is letting your fear overwhelm you to the point that you don’t act. That’s when fear goes from being natural to being a roadblock standing in your way of true freedom.

2) Cynicism

Cynicism is another form of fear. It’s a distrust that prevents you from having the confidence to move forward.

This distrust could be of yourself, and manifest in overwhelming self doubt. It could be paranoia about the markets, or questioning a solid deal, and backing out of an investment at the last minute.

However cynicism manifests itself, it will hold you back. You have to learn to distinguish between a genuine concern and an overblown fear. If you are financially literate, and have done your homework, you have to trust in your ability. You can’t let others talk you out of what you know is right, and you can’t talk yourself out of trusting in your knowledge.

3) Laziness

We all think we know what laziness looks like. Lying on the couch for five hours straight watch Netflix and eating popcorn. If you accuse a hardworking person of being lazy, you’ll get a very angry retort.

But laziness affects all of us, and busy people are often the laziest people of all. People easily become “too busy” to take care of the important things, like their health, their family, and their money. They go to their job and work all day, and are too exhausted when they get home to do anything else.

When they aren’t busy with work or family, they’re often busy watching TV, playing golf, or shopping. Yet deep down they know they are avoiding something important.

That’s the most common form of laziness: laziness by staying busy.

So take a long, honest look at your life. Is your excuse for not investing the fact that you’re too busy? What does that mean? What are you really busy with? And how is that holding you back from financial freedom?

4) Bad habits

Habits control our future. Cultivate bad ones, and your future slips out of your control.

Bad habits are often the worst things holding us back. They’re extremely hard to break; it takes discipline and continued conscious effort.

A lot of people don’t have the discipline to break their bad habits. And worse, many people don’t even realize that their habits are bad in thefirst place. For example, someone who sleeps late on the weekends might think they’re catching up on needed sleep. But that habit is taking away several hours that they could be researching investments or building a side business.

Examine the habits in your life. Some of them might be so ingrained in your routine you don’t notice them. But how are they holding you back?

5) Arrogance

Robert’s rich dad often said, “Every time I have been arrogant, I have lost money. Because when I’m arrogant, I truly believe that what I don’t know is not important.”

I have found that many people use arrogance to try to hide their own ignorance. They bluster through, overcompensating with confidence to hide the fact that they don’t know what they’re doing. Instead of humbly acknowledging where they need to change, they blame other people and circumstances for their own failures.

Put another way, many arrogant people who read this blog probably thought,“That doesn’t apply to me” to every single thing above.

If you can’t be honest and humble with yourself, you don’t have a chance of achieving financial freedom.

The good news

Now for the best part. If you’re suffering from one or more of the above, it means you have a very good chance of being rich. All you have to do is learn to conquer the roadblock holding you back.

Of course, that’s not easy. In fact, it’s incredibly difficult, otherwiseeveryone would be rich. But acknowledging the factors holding you back fromincreasing your wealth is the first step. With practiced effort, you canovercome these bad habits and emotions and find your way to freedom.

How to Stop the Negative Monkey Chatter

Rohn: How to Stop Listening to the Negative Voice in Your Head, removing the monkey chatter.

The negative monkey chatter in your head will drive you nuts and away from being successful.

monkey chatter

And start listening to the still, small voice of success—which resides inside all of us. The calm observing aware voice.   Jim Rohn
monkey chatter
a much better place to be in…..

Why are we so frequently inclined to do the things that are least important but so reluctant to do the essential things that success and happiness demand? What is the voice that whispers to us: Just let it all slide. Why worry about all that discipline nonsense? It is the voice of negativity, a voice that has grown increasingly stronger over the years as a result of being around the wrong influences, thinking the wrong thoughts, developing the wrong philosophy and making the wrong decisions.

Related: How to Stop the Rampage of Negative Thoughts

Part of the solution to quieting the voice of negativity, the monkey chatter, is learning to listen to the still small voice of success, which resides inside each of us. The voice of success is constantly struggling to be heard about the loud promptings of the voice of failure. Our own free agency allows us to follow whichever voice we choose. Every time we allow ourselves to succumb to the voice of the dark side of life, and are persuaded to repeat errors instead of mastering new disciplines, the voice of negativity grows stronger. Conversely, each time we listen to the urgings of the voice of success, and are persuaded to turn off the TV to pick up a book, to open our journals and record our thoughts, or to spend a quiet moment pondering where our current actions might be leading us, the voice success responds to these new disciplines and grows in strength and volume as each day passes. For each new discipline, another step forward.

monkey chatter

We can never totally eradicate the voice of failure from within us. It will always be there, urging us to think and feel and act in a way that is contrary to our own best interests. But we can effectively silence this destructive influence by developing a sound philosophy and a positive attitude about life and our future. We just need to take the megaphone away and destroy it.

Creating a new philosophy is easy to do. Making new and better decisions is easy to do. Developing a new attitude is easy to do. All the worthwhile and rewarding things are easy to do, but the major challenge—the one that could leave us with pennies instead of fortune and trinkets instead of treasures—is that it is is also easy not to do.

We must keep a watchful eye on the subtle differences between success and failure, and be ever mindful of the inner urgings that would have us repeating costly errors rather than developing new disciplines.

We must each make our own conscious decision to reach out for the good life through the refinement of our thoughts and the careful examination of the potential consequences of our accumulated errors. We must not allow ourselves to think that the errors do not matter. They do. We must not allow ourselves to assume that a lack of discipline in one small area of our lives will not make a difference. It will. And we must not allow ourselves to believe that we can have all that we want to have and become all that we wish to be without making any changes in the way we think about life.  This is Be, Do, Have.

The journey toward the good life begins with a serious commitment to ignoring the monkey chatter and changing any aspect of our current philosophy that has the capacity to come between us and our dreams. The remaining pieces of the puzzle of life can be of little value if we have not first made the firm resolve to do something with this piece of the puzzle.

Everything is within our reach if we will read the books, use the journals, practice the disciplines, and wage a new and vigorous battle against neglect. These are some of the fundamental activities that lead not only to the development of a new philosophy, but also to a new life filled with joy and accomplishment. Each new and positive activity weakens the grip of failure and steers us ever closer to the destination of our choice. Each new, disciplined step taken toward success strengthens our philosophical posture and increases our changes of achieving a well-balanced life. But the first step in realizing this worthy achievement lies in becoming the master of our ship and the captain of our soul by developing a sound personal philosophy.

Again, huge thanks goes to the late Jim Rohn.  He will live on forever.

Time to make 2017 your best year yet. An online business? tick.

We started our home based online business 8 years ago around full time work with the intention of working part time on our business until  we achieved our dream of working together from home  in our own business full time.

NO MORE J.O.B. (just over broke)

Dream achieved ……what are you willing to do to achieve  your dreams and goals…. tick.

online business

Ask yourself this question ….Is what you are spending all your time on now going
to give you the life you want?  Yes you are busy but busy doing what? Busy being busy? or busy being productive.

The next step is to stop procrastinating and reach out to us now to make your 2017
the best year of your life.

Read the below article and then contact us here to learn more about our Online Business in the sector of Personal Development.

In a 2015 MarketWatch study, nearly 40% of current employees said they aspire to own their own business sometime in the future.

If you’re one of those employees, you can build your business while remaining an employee. You can work 9-5 and then come back home to work from 5-9. In the beginning, you’ll have to say no to your social life, and instead, stay home to steadily work towards fulfilling your dreams. But you’ll quickly find that it’s all worth it.

Although it seems that everyone is starting an Internet business these days, keep in mind that there are many different ways to do business online. What really matters is the “why” you want to pursue an online business in the first place.

Don’t let obstacles get in the way of pursuing your dreams; here are three advantages of working an online business:

Office Space Not Required
An Internet business doesn’t need an office, staff, desks, or copiers. It only needs a website and something to sell. This removes many of the barriers of entry that prevent people from starting a business. In the beginning, why not keep it simple? You can consider the different options of operating as your business grows, but this is one big benefit to launching your idea now.

Manageable from Anywhere
Once your business is up and running with systems in place, your business is manageable wherever there is Internet access. The benefit of operating from anywhere is you no longer have to sacrifice family time. You could easily be at your child’s soccer game, and still be engaged with the business.

Low Start-Up Cost
Starting something online is an obvious choice for many wanna-be entrepreneurs because of the low initial financial investment. There are a variety of businesses that you can start for less than $100. Some can even be started with no investment other than your time.

Starting your own business takes motivation and dedication, but if you commit to doing it, your opportunity for success is automatically greater than someone who just continues to dream.

This is what makes Rich Dad different.

BestEverHomeBusiness, our best business decision

For about 8 years now I have supported and helped where I can, my beautiful wife Chrissy, with our home business, BestEverHomeBusiness.

We are independent home business owners under the umbrella  of  a global privately owned company, now a leader in the Personal Development industry.

home business

Doing this around my full time job meant I was up early, put on some online ads, sent links to Chrissy and basically did whatever I could to make her day easier, and then off to work.

Our decision for me to give up full time work and step up to work alongside Chrissy with our Home Business, is turning out to be the best business decision we have ever made. I still get up early to put facebook leads into our lead manager, listen to training calls either live or recorded, do my daily personal development and now, phone people in Canada and the US, (we’re in Australia) and do the things that are written in my DMO (daily method of operation).

Coming from a workshop/tools environment I had to follow a regimented pattern. Step 1, 2. 3. 4….. etc. The business system is exactly that. Simple step 1, 2, 3, …

My website GetofftheTools.info was born to give those who are needing a change away from their mundane physically hard workshop environment.

home business

I now work alongside my best friend Chrissy, and with the expert simple guidance from Shane and Rachel Krider.

Our momentum is building and growing dramatically. We work consistently but not hard from home, and take the necessary breaks whenever we want to. We are a great team and have an efficient ever evolving system.

BestEverHomeBusiness has been going and growing strong since 2008 and growing naturally. Our blogs, social media presence, and just sleeves up perseverance, consistency and determination has proven to be our strong point.

determination

Just never give up. If you give up you lose. We follow the simple system and don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Doing the simple thing well and being consistent is all we have to do.

I am so proud to be alongside my best friend working well together.

Not many people can say that.

BestEverHomeBusiness, Profitable and Portable.

Recently we just enjoyed a road trip from Tamworth to The Gold Coast so we could drop my mum off at a resort for a 4 week holiday. My BestEverHomeBusiness  didn’t miss a beat because I could sit beside the pool and speak to people around the world that are looking for what we offer … A portable and profitable business that allows us to enjoy a lifestyle.

besteverhomebusiness

When I made the decision 7 years ago to move forward with this business model, I could not even send an email so looking back I’m not sure how I thought I could create success in an online business. ( lucky I don’t over think things) I remember sitting in front of my computer some days in tears feeling really overwhelmed and thinking what am I doing. Like any journey it starts with the first step and over the last 7 years I have just taken lots of steps forwards always moving towards my goals. What that meant was following our simple system, our training and being a product of our Personal Development products.

What comes to mind is….. It may not have been easy but it sure is worth it.

what a legend

Col (best husband ever) has joined me in our BestEverHomeBusiness recently with his marketing niche, ‘GetOffTheTools‘, means we can travel anytime or anywhere we want with no time constrictions.

However we do absolutely love being home on our 400 acre lifestyle block with our…. 7 horses, 9 dogs, 2 cats, 8 Pigeons ,1 ferret , 23 chickens, 8 goats, 3 turkeys, 2 geese and a 54 year old turtle called Sam…. (oh and my Mum who is 85 going on 50.). Our Son and his family also have a home on the property so they are available to look after the animals when we decide it is time for some travel.

NOW as the ‘Happy Baby Boomers‘ this is the exact reason why we saw massive potential with BestEverHomeBusiness, and unmatched ROI, for Time and Money FREEDOM.

What are you looking to achieve?

Would you like to start your journey with me, and help me guide you to your created future?   It is easier than you think because this is exactly what you need to do … Think.

10 Little Things Successful People Do Differently

This article about successful people by Success Magazine struck a chord with me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I…. Chrissy

10 Little Things Successful People Do Differently

Achieving your biggest goals doesn’t happen by accident.

Successful people think differently, act differently and ultimately distinguish themselves from unsuccessful people by taking a distinctive path toward their goals.

successful people

Successful people all have similar traits and similar patterns. The truth is that being successful is not far-fetched if you can learn what other successful people do. And no, it doesn’t have to be big acts of philanthropy or innovation. It can be small things, things you can do every day to reach your goals.

Here are 10 things successful people do daily:

successful people

1. They strive for consistency.

Successful people are focused on meeting their objectives and this is why they have a consistent schedule. According to Rameet Chawla, founder of Fueled, having a consistent schedule aids prioritization and allows you to keep the important tasks at the top of your list.

2. They set daily goals.

Kenneth Chenault, CEO of American Express, has a detailed plan for his day by writing down three things he wants to accomplish the next day. Successful people are clear about their goals and having a list to propel them to meeting these goals sets them apart.

3. They nurture the right relationships.

In his book Tribes, Seth Godin explains there are tribes everywhere hungry for connection, meaning and change. Successful people look for support and find people they can connect with intellectually. Find your tribe and collaborate, play off each other’s strengths and watch everyone grow. Jim Rohn says you are the average of your five closest friends. Who are yours?

4. They display high emotional intelligence.

Emotionally intelligent people constantly look for ways to add value and contribute to their environment. They use their emotional awareness to think progressively and find answers to problems. This quality helps them to inspire others to be successful, too. According to Steve Jobs, “Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it; they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.

5. They take action.

Successful people take action. Nothing is solved when you let the feeling of overwhelm set you back. Through actions you can attain results and discover a path toward your goals.

6. They practice positive self-talk.

When you use phrases like, Today is going to be a great day or I am successful, you boost your intellectual ability and improve your chances of attaining your goals for the day.

successful people

7. They stay healthy.

President Barack Obama exercises 45 minutes per day, six days a week. A healthy mind and body is the first step to success. Your body is a vehicle to everything you achieve. Such physical activity doesn’t only keep the body physically healthy; it also improves one’s mental state.

8. They meditate.

Meditation allows you to focus and be more productive. Oprah Winfrey speaks about the great benefits of meditation and how the results have included better relationships and being more creative.

9. They act on small improvements toward their major goals.

According to Henry Ford, “Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small pieces1.” Successful people apply the domino effect toward their ambitions by making small and continuous improvements every day.

10. They wake up early.

From Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, to Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric, waking up early seems to be the tradition of successful people. So much can be done within those wee hours of the day that is much harder to accomplish when distractions, meetings and environmental noise are added.

In the end, it takes consistent practice to be successful.

Success doesn’t happen by accident, but because you have committed yourself to certain activities, that will help you reach your goals.

10 Habits of the Ultra Likeable Leaders

10 Habits of Ultra Likeable Leaders

“I read this article about being a likeable leaders in Success Magazine by Travis Bradberry and thought why is this so simple but on the outside is so complicated. It’s just a matter of being aware of how you think and what you say that makes all the difference”. s I love the saying,

“Sometimes it’s better to sit there and look like an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove that you are”.   Chrissy Greig.  (I’ve been there)   pls enjoy.

likeable leaders

Likeability isn’t a birthright—it results from acquirable skills that are crucial to your success.
June 28, 2016

Too many people succumb to the mistaken belief that being likeable comes from natural traits that belong only to a lucky few. In this article, originally published on LinkedIn Pulse, Dr. Travis Bradberry explains how being likeable is under your control, and it’s a matter of emotional intelligence (EQ).

If you want to be a leader whom people follow with absolute conviction, you have to be a likeable leader. Tyrants and curmudgeons with brilliant vision can command a reluctant following for a time, but it never lasts. They burn people out before they ever get to see what anyone is truly capable of.

When I speak to smaller audiences, I ask them to describe the best and worst leaders they have ever worked for. People inevitably ignore innate characteristics (intelligence, extraversion, attractiveness and so on) and instead focus on qualities that are completely under the leader’s control, such as approachability, humility and positivity.

likeable leaders

These and other words describe leaders who are skilled in emotional intelligence. TalentSmart research data from more than a million people shows that leaders who possess these qualities aren’t just highly likeable, they outperform those who don’t possess them by a large margin.

Becoming a more likeable leader is completely under your control and it’s a matter of emotional intelligence (EQ). Unlike innate, fixed characteristics, such as your intelligence (IQ), EQ is a flexible skill that you can improve with effort.

What follows are 10 key behaviors that emotionally intelligent leaders engage in that make them so likeable.

1. They form personal connections.

Even in a crowded room, likeable leaders make people feel like they’re having a one-on-one conversation, as if they’re the only person in the room that matters. And, for that moment, they are. Likeable leaders communicate on a very personal, emotional level. They never forget that there’s a flesh-and-blood human being standing in front of them.

2. They’re approachable.

You know those people who only have time for you if you can do something for them? Likeable leaders truly believe that everyone, regardless of rank or ability, is worth their time and attention. They make everyone feel valuable because they believe that everyone is valuable.

3. They’re humble.

Few things kill likeability as quickly as arrogance. Likeable leaders don’t act as though they’re better than you because they don’t think they’re better than you. Rather than being a source of prestige, they see their leadership position as additional accountability to serve those who follow them.

likeable leaders

4. They’re positive.

Likeable leaders always maintain a positive outlook and this shows in how they describe things. They don’t have to give a presentation to the board of directors; they get to share their vision and ideas with the board. They don’t have to go on a plant tour; they get to meet and visit with the people who make their company’s products. They don’t even have to diet; they get to experience the benefits of eating healthfully. Even in undeniably negative situations, likeable leaders emanate an enthusiastic hope for the future, a confidence that they can help make tomorrow better than today.

5. They’re even-keeled.

When it comes to their own accomplishments and failures, likeable leaders take things in stride. They don’t toot their own horns, nor do they get rattled when they blow it. They savor success without letting it go to their heads and readily acknowledge failure without getting mired in it. They learn from both and move on.

6. They’re generous.

We’ve all worked for someone who constantly holds something back, whether it’s knowledge or resources. They act as if they’re afraid you’ll outshine them if they give you access to everything you need to do your job. Likeable leaders are unfailingly generous with whom they know, what they know and the resources they have. They want you to do well more than anything else because they understand this is their job as a leader and because they’re confident enough to never worry that your success might make them look bad. In fact, they believe that your success is their success.

likeable leaders

7. They demonstrate integrity.

Likeable leaders inspire trust and admiration through their actions, not just their words. Many leaders say integrity is important to them, but likeable leaders walk their talk by demonstrating integrity every day. Even a leader who oozes charm won’t be likeable if that charm isn’t backed by a solid foundation of integrity.

8. They read people.

Likeable leaders know how to read people. They know unspoken communication is often more important than the words people say. They note facial expressions, body language and tone of voice in order to get what’s really going on with their people. In other words, they have high social awareness—a critical EQ skill.

9. They appreciate potential.

Robert Brault said, “Charisma is not so much getting people to like you as getting people to like themselves when you’re around.” Likeable leaders not only see the best in their people, but they also make sure everyone else sees it, too. They draw out people’s talents so everyone is bettering themselves and the work at hand.

10. They have substance.

Daniel Quinn said, “Charisma only wins people’s attention. Once you have their attention, you have to have something to tell them.” Likeable leaders understand their knowledge and expertise are critical to the success of everyone who follows them. Therefore, they regularly connect with people to share their substance (as opposed to superficial small talk). Likeable leaders don’t puff themselves up or pretend to be something they’re not, because they don’t have to. They have substance, and they share it with their people.

Likeability isn’t a birthright; it results from acquirable skills that are crucial to your professional success. And just like other professional skills, you can study the people who have them, copy what works, and adapt them to your own style. Try these 10 strategies and watch your likeability soar.

I hope you took this all in, like I did…. Brilliant.

Top 3 things you need to know with your Home Business

I read this great article about the top 3 things from allbusiness.com written by Tom Drake and had to share it. Thank you Tom for backing up what I have been saying, but sometimes not doing, for years. Please enjoy… Chrissy. (we all need a boost sometimes)

Top 3 Things You Need to Know to Prosper in a Home Business

Τo run a successful home-based business, you need to operate on the web and learn three essential top 3 things. First, you must learn how to be good at online marketing. Second, you must learn how to successfully leverage social media. Third, you must become proficient at rolling out email marketing campaigns.

Besides running your business, you also should invest in work-life balance. While not essential for success, balancing work and family keeps everything running smoothly.

Become Good at Online Marketing

The first of the top 3 things is the purpose of online marketing. It is to attract visitors to your website to see your offering–you may be selling your own products or earning a commission for another merchant’s products. For your business to prosper, you will need lots of visitors to see your offering. Without a steady stream of traffic, you are like a small store sitting in a remote area with very few customers.

top 3 things

In the good old days, ranking high in search engine results was as simple as keyword stuffing. But these days, to make search queries more relevant, the search engines have outlawed this technique. Now webmasters are no longer certain what it takes to drive traffic. There are plenty of theories, but little consensus about what works.

But one thing that does appear to work well is interactive content. Interactive content is fresh content. The best way to provide it is through blogging. Blog posts provide fresh data and allow visitors to interact through comments.

There are several reasons why content marketing works as well as it does:

  • It gets attention.
  • It is easy to consume the information.
  • It encourages more interactions, which, in turn, increases views.
  • It creates a loyal following.
  • It connects with social media.
  • It offers data about what visitors like.

Leverage Social Media

Social media is one of the best free ways to announce your new posts. It also gives you a chance to interact with your audience and build relationships.

In a Forbes article, “Is Social Media Worth It For Small Businesses,” contributor Michael Fertik summarizes how to do it well:

top 3 things

“It’s common for small businesses to quickly jump into multiple social media streams. In fact, social platforms strategically make it very simple and quick to join the ranks. While that ease of adoption is great for small businesses, especially those with limited social media acumen, it’s actually something of a double-edged sword. You can create accounts and start sharing without ever really considering your audience. It’s much better to slow down and look at the data before you invest too much in one channel or spread yourself across too many. What type of customer is purchasing your products? What social channels do they frequent? What kind of content gets shared, liked or retweeted? If the data say that your average customer is a city-dwelling mother in her early 40s who likes Facebook, then there is no reason to spend your time and energy on Twitter at least initially”.

Roll Out Email Marketing Campaigns

Content converts visitors into buyers. Social media drives traffic to your website. And email marketing builds long-lasting relationships with visitors. It’s an excellent way to keep a good thing going.

The mechanics of email marketing are straightforward:

top 3 things

  • You capture email addresses when people arrive at your website. Make an irresistible offer that persuades people to subscribe to your newsletter. Use either an opt-in form or a light box that pops up when people scroll through your blog.
  • Next, you send visitors an email series; this is a digital newsletter. The most convenient way is to load prewritten emails into an autoresponder. You can also make special announcements communicated through broadcast emails.
  • ***From Me …..(This is exactly what our lead manager does. It has a great series of autoresponders) But it is not cold sending. It is set up to communicate with already qualified enquirers.

Work-Life Balance

Content marketing, social media, and email marketing are the nuts-and-bolts of running a home-based business.

But if you are running a home-based business, it is unlikely that you are using only a dedicated computer; your family may be using your computer, as well. In addition, you may be running your business on many devices, or utilizing a desktop, laptop, a tablet, or smartphone.

top 3 things

If you are a parent, you can use software such as WebSafety to help you monitor and control the use of mobile devices by your children. Although this is not a business application, it allows you to maintain a work-life balance.

These top 3 things, A very good read indeed. Very simple but enormously valuable information.
